Weekend Box Office Estimates - 1st May / 3rd May

Here are my Box Office estimates ahead of the weekend of the weekend.

The long-anticipated "The Devil Wears Prada" will easily dominate this weekend, the much anticipated film could be one of the biggest of the year so far. This will likely take a sizeable bite out of the money that "Michael" is making. Although Michael will drop a comfortable 40 - 50% drop, which after a large opening weekend is a comfortable drop, and is a positive sign for the rest of the films box office run. For "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" it is back to small drops, both films have strong legs in particular "Project Hail Mary" which will likely have the smallest drop of the weekend again. Hokum despite a small limited release will bring in a reasonable $4 - 6 million.

5) Hokum (New release)

Weekend estimate: $4M – $6M

Drop: N/A
